17. Strange Jigsaws. Delightfully smile-inducing quirky puzzle game with some fun lateral thinking. Would highly recommend this one!

16. Dispatch. Definitely fell foul of the Telltale issue of course-correcting some of your choices, but this was still so much fun to play and the quality of the visuals and the voice acting was incredible throughout.

15. Tametsi. Nice little puzzle game for anyone who enjoyed messing about with minesweeper back in the day.

14. Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition. Most enjoyable tile-matching game since Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo .. until you get to the late-game battles. The way spell resistance works is a prime example of an unfun game mechanic and ramping up the difficulty by giving you loads of useless turns is shit.

13. The Outer Worlds. Bounced off this the first time round but wanted to finish it before #2 comes out. Fun combat and I enjoyed the cynicism of this cosy halfway house between Fallout and Bioshock.

12. I Am Your Beast. Stylish and punchy (literally) Superhot-esque shooter with a great narrative and some great voice acting. Really enjoyed this.

11. Thank Goodness You're Here! Amusing, well done and nicely short, although a little samey.

10. Avowed. Plot was interesting, characters were decent, combat and exploration were really fun. Especially liked the way that magic worked in combat. Only downsides were the loot & crafting system was pretty underwhelming and progression slowed towards the end. Overall an enjoyable experience.

9 Wheel World. Really nice surprise. Went in with no expectations and found a nice chilled racing game with a perfectly pitched difficulty level. Great music and visuals as well. Would recommend.

8. Pilgrims. Really short puzzley point & click. Great art style and quite an enjoyable palate-cleanser of a game.

7. Doom: The Dark Ages. Didn't get on with Doom Eternal but loved this. Probably the most fun FPS I've played since Bulletstorm. Some great mechanics for the shield and one of the best maps I've ever seen in a game. Two thumbs up.

6. Crime Scene Cleaner. Really enjoyable Powerwash Sim clone. Nice bit of narrative in there, although a poor ending.

Worth bearing in mind they've had semi finals the last few days. My son's obsessed with it so we've seen pretty much all the songs already 😅

5. Atomfall. Thank fallout you're here. Enjoyable, but I was more than done with it by the end.
