Finished Stellar Blade. My final thoughts: A 6/10 game for me. It's *fine* and mostly enjoyable but at the same time, it's bland and never managed to really wow me. The OST is decent and the combat system shines during the boss encounters but I found the rest of the game to be somewhat forgettable.

Finished Stellar Blade. My final thoughts: A 6/10 game for me. It's *fine* and mostly enjoyable but at the same time, it's bland and never managed to really wow me. The OST is decent and the combat system shines during the boss encounters but I found the rest of the game to be somewhat forgettable.
I spent more time playing Stellar Blade yesterday and considering how the story developed, I am probably going to finish the game today. Unfortunately, the game didn't really get any more enjoyable for me. The boss fights are an occasional highlight, same with the OST, but that's it, really.

On November 25, a follow-up update was sent out via Steam to make sure the 2K Launcher was fully removed. You may notice the 2KLauncher folder was replaced with a text file called 2kLauncherRemoved.txt. This file isn’t needed, and you can safely delete it!

It's funny how many people declared handhelds "dead" because of smartphones but now, thanks to the success of the Nintendo Switch and SteamDeck, they're coming back in full swing - although it remains to be seen if Sony moves past the "early development stages" in this regard

Playing Stellar Blade for a few more hours, my impressions unfortunately remain underwhelming. The game feels like a mix of popular AAA videogame mechanics without enough of an own identity to stand out. I definitely wouldn't call it bad but it's just ...okay. Nothing more.

Having played #StellarBlade for a few hours now, my initial impressions are unfortunately less great than what I hoped for. It feels like the game is heavily chasing after Nier Automata but never able to catch up.

My prayers have been heard - while a 25% discount isn't much, I'll take it in this case, especially since I can use my PlayStation Stars point for a further discount.
Would love to see Stellar Blade receiving some kind of Black Friday discount on PlayStation tomorrow, I really want to give it a try - but I'm not interested enough to pay the full price of 80€ (!) for it.

No idea why Amazon keeps hyping up their "Black Friday Week" (which is a name that doesn't make sense anyway) every year. Despite checking, none of the things (mostly physical Switch/PlayStation games) I'm interested in ever seem to receive a meaningful discount, if even.

While Call of Duty has always been kind of a "guilty pleasure" game to me as I usually prefer single-player games, I'm seriously baffled by the amount of time it takes to finish a battle pass nowadays. Microsoft really wants me to play as long as possible so I might invest money

The repercussions on videogames would be bad enough but it's the anime/manga landscape I'm particularly worried about. Monopolisation is hardly a good thing, especially when it comes to media companies

Square Enix actually went for it and announced a mobile version of Final Fantasy XIV: ffxivmobile.com - but I can't say I'm not skeptical about the whole game. After all, this company doesn't exactly have a good track record when it comes to mobile games...

I would be quite happy if the Twitter exodus is finally big enough this time around that it allows me to delete the app and permanently move over to this one, but I'm still missing a few active news accounts over here that I'd like to follow. Hopefully that changes soon?
