Vance not running because the Trump Administration is so widely hated, allows all of the complicit to immediately hide behind "We want to return to normal, and elect a real republican."

Vance losing with the support of the party, will stop the public perception from immediately burying it.

It's literally the free market. "There's a market for inclusive products, so I'm selling a product to make your product more inclusive" SBI is no more agenda based then any other product being sold. The only people contracting them are the people who want it.

No worries! These sorts of things happen.
October 17, 2025 at 1:54 PM
I'm not! It's a combination of them and TPC. They're still the developers, and the choices they make to achieve their deadlines and make them work are their own.

But the common thread is TPC, not Nintendo. Nintendo doesn't tend to treat their franchises like that. The call is coming from inside.
October 16, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Which is why all of the other Nintendo properties all look like this and release ever yea- Wait a minute...

It's GameFreak and TPC who are leading the charge and making these calls. Nintendo has shown a willingness to drag things out and pursue long term profits.

Because the corporation will hire someone to work on a team to make a product that person is able to make. The rights are diluted the larger each subsequent team becomes. Being the only person with the right to allow someone to use your copyright is more valuable then being one of 50.

The system you've described is wildly easy to abuse. Just think about what the worst people would do to get around it. Because those people aren't going to go away. They're not going to get more generous. And this severely damages the value of brands that will reduce the amount any artist receives.
September 30, 2025 at 2:27 AM
"It would require them to have taken part in the creative process" Board rooms do! People complain about it constantly. People are begging them to take less part in the process and to leave it to the writers and the game designers.

And then after the next release, the entire EA team is HK Authors, and don't even need the scab anymore. Under this system a single person can create endless opportunities to profit off the work of the original authors.
September 30, 2025 at 2:27 AM
You've said you want the author to be anyone who worked on the project. Meaning if EA wanted to do... Hollow Knight, all they need to do is find a single scab to come to a team with HK Authorship. They have to pay Artists a "fair share", but the fair share is the cheapest author in the pot.

Correct about Fanfics
Correct about Corporation.

My disagreement, is that you're giving away rights you have as a creator for the hopes that for some reason, doing so would mean corporations won't try to take advantage of you? They will! This won't protect you!
September 29, 2025 at 10:54 PM
What I claim didn't happen, hasn't happened because it's illegal. Talent is already free to do anything as it pleases except use the IP it built up. Artists are devalued and I don't think turning each artist into "If we hire this person we're allowed to use Marvel Characters" will be a net positive.
September 29, 2025 at 10:52 PM
This is not my system, it’s the current system. It is a failure of the system that artists are abused and discarded. But allowing anyone to take an idea they’ve worked on, and give them the rights to create any derivative materials without your say is worse, even if it would free big corp art. (3/3)

If they wanted to create something in your world and wanted to bring in Saudi money and propaganda, or worse just got paid to do it without wanting to, then the things you love and labored for, that represent YOU could say anything and you wouldn’t have a right for anything. (2/3)
September 29, 2025 at 10:01 PM
And I think it's better for everyone that you have the right to deny them that choice. Under the rule you described, those artists have a claim to your world, and you would lack the right to deprive them as they are co-authors through their labor. (1/3)
September 29, 2025 at 10:00 PM
The point is even if it's more fair and honest, and it is. It will be worse than the alternative. If you're working on a project you will be incentivized to limit the number of people involved in the project, so you can maintain control. Collaboration is good. We want there to be more of it.
September 29, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Agreed. But the right to profit off of your vision is a good thing to control. If I write a book, and commission a book cover, the Cover-Artist now has a right to write a book in my world. But also under this rule, they can do a book cover for any author, to make books in my world, without my say.
September 29, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Law Student here. That's a very dangerous standard, since it hurts small teams way more than big ones. Toby Fox owning Undertale because he did the majority of the work is good vs losing exclusive control since he had Temmie's help, and worse to the Kickstarter backers who designed their characters.

There's very few countries that will spit on their own court systems and defy 3 separate rulings all giving you permission to remain just to send you to prison in another country.

Additionally, if this was a "Deportation" he wouldn't be a prisoner upon being sent away.

Similar side point! In the "Everyone is horny" episode, when Dax develops an interest in Ben thanks to space magic, she pursues it aggressively, as the space magic demands, and Ben politely rejects her as much as he can, and neither of them hold it against one another.

I think the cornerstone of High School me, would have to fall to Zatch Bell. Even now I can't help but compare most new things I watch to it in one way or another.

Ignoring that you're taking the heaviest look at how Socialism could be implemented the end result is still also "But also you own literally everything everyone else owns so you have more." unless you admit that having the thing means more than owning it in which case. Congrats, you have the thing.

It's not that Religions do in fact mean having morals, or don't have Genres. It's that believing in a religion implies/means you value traits whether you have or reflect them or not. If someone tells you they're a Christian, positively or negatively you usually have a perception of them.
February 27, 2025 at 5:30 AM
I disagree because of the associations. Believing in a religion is *Supposed* to mean believing in certain personal beliefs and morals. Enjoying consuming a specific media means similar things. I would assume an Ayn Rand reader has certain beliefs and be correct. But enjoying a Genre means nothing.
