Am utterly mesmerised by this close up of my own iris. I thought my brown eyes were boring until I saw my iris close up. I went to EyeMazy in Soho.

Previously when posting I would talk about allergy, gardening, cooking, and Parkinson’s, which my mother suffers from.

But when watching a population that is 50% children being deliberately starved & carpet bombed, I struggle to post anything.

The headline - what every fibre of my being feels.

Today was all about gentle calming countryside. Enjoying the crystal clear waters of the river Dove and then heading out on a long walk. #PeakDistrict #22000steps

Back in the gym after 10 weeks. First I got a flu type virus & then it was Ramadan & by that time my confidence had gone. I had been doing well prior to that.

Let’s see if I can keep it going this time.

This first work out wasn’t so bad but no muscle memory for me. My muscles have memory loss!

So microwave Daal works.
And it’s good.
Not excellent but worth trying.

This is a Shelina Permaloo recipe, I saw on Instagram and it appealed to the lazy cook in me. There is no Tarka, making it healthier and quicker and maybe 25% less tasty!

Last Ramadan I decided to push the boat out & donate to complete this orphanage in Malawi in my mum & dad’s name.

Yesterday I received a video showing it’s opening.

I think it will make you smile.

Great clinic today

I must congratulate the interior designers at OneWelbeck. This is the waiting area for my clinic With free hot drinks, It’s the only waiting room I’ve seen where pats are reluctant to leave!

Although bricks & mortar don’t strictly matter, the setting does give everyone a lift.

Off to do a clinic at One Welbeck. Working on a Saturday often has a sense of calmness about it. And the tube is empty. But there is a part of me that would love to be tucked up in bed still!

Went to my first ever concert by candlelight at St Martin’s in the Fields. Was magical. Such a beautiful building. Hard to reconcile I was in central London. Swept up in a Viennese New Year. Am now floating home. #LoveLondon

Sat by the fire.
Feet up.
Chocolates (a present)
Book (a present to myself)

Not done this for 12 months.

I am bad at relaxing.
Almost forgotten how.

This feels good.

100% this.

For many years as a junior doctor I covered Xmas so colleagues could have time off. It was not a problem.

I was glad to.

I don’t celebrate Xmas.
But why should I mind if you do?

Don’t let those who seek to divide, divide us. #MoreInCommon
