I’m pleased to announce a £300,000 grant to establish a new, industry-led Independent Nightlife Commission which will bring together the voices of nightlife workers and businesses, working closely with City Hall, councils and the police to support the development of nightlife across London.

Today, London's independent Nightlife Taskforce set out the most detailed picture we’ve ever had of the challenges and opportunities facing our capital at night.

Its recommendations set out a bold future for London at night, and I’m committed to working with partners to help make it happen.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, we remember the atrocities of the past and our shared responsibility to educate people and ensure the Holocaust is never forgotten.

By listening to survivors and passing their stories on, we bridge generations and stand united against antisemitism and hate. #HMD

London’s creativity is one of our greatest strengths.

I’m proud to support London boroughs Merton, Barnet and Greenwich through my Cultural Impact Awards. The three boroughs have received £300,000 to deliver cultural projects in their communities to bring more people together.

This Saturday the new SL11 bus launches. Replacing the 472, it brings quicker, more direct journeys, backing regeneration in Thamesmead and boosting transport links in an under-served part of London.

A faster way forward for southeast London.

Proud to launch the new SL11 today at North Greenwich bus station.

While bigger projects like the DLR to Thamesmead are underway, express buses like these help to make journeys quicker and link up bus, rail and Elizabeth line services in South East London.

Key workers deserve homes they can afford in the city they serve.

That’s why I’m proud to launch my Key Worker Living Rent scheme, which will help NHS staff, firefighters and others into affordable homes for long-term rent, saving potentially thousands of pounds each year.

Fantastic to have the NBA in London, cementing our city’s reputation as the world’s sporting capital.

I’ve joined forces with the NBA to deliver a meaningful legacy from this game, including investment to improve access to London’s community basketball courts.

Great to be with the NBA and my Basketball Taskforce before the Memphis Grizzlies v Orlando Magic NBA London Game - our work together means more access to basketball in London’s leisure centres, and more community basketball courts ⛹️

Today at City Hall, we came together with Jewish community leaders and Holocaust and genocide survivors ahead of Holocaust Memorial Day.

We listened and reflected on our shared responsibility to carry the lessons of history forward, and to stand against hatred in all its forms.

Even London’s critics have to accept the evidence - homicide in London has fallen to its lowest level in more than a decade.

Our work is not done. We’ll continue to work with the Metropolitan Police to utilise every tool at our disposal and keep Londoners safe.

We’re on track to roll out 4G across the Underground by the end of the year.

That means more opportunities to stream, message and stay connected when you’re travelling across the city.

AI is already helping us keep Londoners safer and healthier - but it will also reshape jobs across our city.

That’s why I’m pushing for smart regulation, launching a taskforce on the future of work and offering free AI training so Londoners can adapt, reskill and get ahead.

A privilege to welcome United Nations Secretary-General, His Excellency António Guterres to London.

He has shown true leadership on the climate crisis in difficult times and has been a true advocate for mayors to lead the way. On climate, our cities are doers, not delayers.
