I also just saw this for the first time. A beautiful and heartwrenching film. Took me everything not to bawl in the theater. Agreed: It definitely puts Gaza on the mind; I thought it might’ve been playing in theaters again precisely because of that timely parallel.

There’s something about a decimal point in a ranking that makes it even worse, like an obvious marker that the writer is so distantly removed from the culture.
