I get you, but it is worth pointing out that this same line was said when that DOGE guy got mugged and this whole DC NG deployment has turned into somewhat of a nothing burger (everyone hates it, funds are getting wasted, the courts are against him, and it's more proof how weak his position is).

Scale of things: Shooting was near Farragut North station. Somewhat of a shopping district and ~10 min walk to WH. My money is on someone did something illegal and the NG happened to be there. If WH was target it likely would have been closer. Suspect is in custody.
