I just learned about 'solastalgia' from philosopher Glenn Albrecht—an emotional connection to place profound enough that its degradation causes genuine distress. Feeling this.

I wrote about Rothko, who died on Feb 26, 1970. He marked my life as an artist. When I first encountered Rothko's vast color fields at the Tate, something shifted within me. The boundaries between canvas and my body dissolved. satosan.substack.com/p/rembering-...

Work directed with photographer Toby Coulson for Atmos Magazine, exploring the essence of rhythm and playfulness in our bodies, with custom-created clothing that speaks to restoring our natural rhythms. There's something magical in how the set design interplays with the children's movements.

As storytellers, as creatives, our power lies in embodying that infinite source of creation. It's how we reclaim our sensual, delicious selves. Embodied awareness is our way back home - intimacy with where we are right now, what is happening, and how we are meeting it.

Grand stuff Lola! Made me think about the notion of 'curation' & what it means & I thought 'queueration', formed of 'queue' (to line up eg experiences/thoughts) and 'ration' (to release slowly & in a measured way). And life is like that - it does not happen all at once! (& another Yellowstone pic!)

This week, the work of Colin Dodgson in Yellowstone for Atmos. A tender and delicate look at national parks and who gets to access them.

“Where does wilderness begin and end?” It doesn’t.
We’re not separate from nature; we are its wild brilliance—messy, undefined, chaotic.
Edges remind us: The world isn’t rigid categories. It’s ongoing, beautiful entanglements.
