I'd like to hear from Sarah as to why she's chosen to respond as she has. It's not my place, as a cis person, to judge her response. She certainly hasn't shied away from being a strong and visible trans woman, so I assume she has a reason for handling this the way she is.

True. And I agree. My comment was just meant to address a possible strategy that she may be employing by staying quiet (since there appear to be some here who disapprove of her reticence).
