....I've survived nearly 40 years with dogshit mental health, I'll muddle through this bad patch like I have previously. I know the NHS is understaffed & underfunded, but when the staff they do have are that fucking incompetent it is doubly frustrating.

...so I drove home & replied pointing out the shitshow that's occurred & requested they discharge me from the service. One of my triggers is fuck ups & disappointments like what's happened this morning & I cba risking that again...

...I pull up my emails while we're speaking with the staff member & find an email from the same service, sent at 9.21, making no reference to today's appointment, offering me a spot on a virtual group therapy course which is almost two weeks away at a time I can't do...

...staff member looks confused, gets a laptop, looks on the system, & our group has been cancelled & no one's bothered to tell us. I'm not even sure she apologised, when we've both driven here & taken time out of our day, & we're there because we have poor mental health!...

...there's a sign saying if you've been waiting longer than 10 mins to knock on the door of the admin room, which I do at 9.15. There's no answer. I sit back down. At 9.30 a staff member appears & asks if we're being seen to. We reply no, explain we're waiting for our group to start...

...I had a telephone assessment, then they offered me a place on a face-to-face group therapy course starting today at 9am. I turn up, sit in the waiting area (there's no reception but signs say to sit & someone will be with you), & shortly another patient arrives & we get to chatting...

Dog #1 had to wear the cone for 3 weeks not long ago after a big operation to remove a tumour & she was the most patient sweet baby angel in all the land.
