It's just refreshing cuz it's what a traditional sonic story is. sonic exists to act as a form of support for the characters. some of my fav sonic stories have always been "Sonic appears and helps this person grow in their own story". 2, 3k, CD, adventure, sonic X, battle, rush, 06, and so on.
