I've been mostly MIA on teacher social media since my husband died 2 years ago. But I'm hoping that with this app opening for more people I'll actually be able to interact again.

I couldn't figure out how to make groups of 4 work in my room, especially since I'm expected to have 40 kids in one period 🥴 so instead we've got 4 table groups of 10. I'm planning on making them work in pairs mostly though

School hasn't even started yet, we are just moving into classrooms and having bonus new school meetings.
But I am SO GLAD I decided to switch schools. The vibes so far are just positive and wonderful and I am so hopeful.

Got my keys for my room and made my youngest help me move stuff in. I didn't work on setting anything up today, just unloaded and unboxed some stuff. I was going to set up my desk but the left side is completely dented and I don't want to get it set up if they end up having to replace it.

i really truly wish any of the epstein furore was caused by a genuine concern for cruelty for teenage girls, for exploited kids. it would be a different country if it was, of course, but the discourse is sometimes jarring

Trying to organize notes for next year 😭 luckily most of them overlap but I'm exhausted from writing lol
I'm going to try to get away from as many printed copies of notes and make kids write more next year - though obviously still giving cloze notes to kids who need it.
