50 yr mortgages are just a way to keep anyone from ever actually owning their property. They're trying to eliminate the middle class passing on anything to the next generation.

"A pretty business indeed for a man to be allowed eight hundred thousand sterling a year for, and worshipped into the bargain! Of more worth is one honest man to society and in the sight of God, than all the crowned ruffians that ever lived."

10 million protested, Dems shook the polls just last week, and it hasn't made a difference. Maga still refuse to see logic or reason and billionares keep exploiting our gov.

We need to change tactics, remain peaceful of course, but civil disobedience isn't civil disobedience if it's obedient...

A one day boycott does nothing, everyone still buys the same goods/services but a day sooner or later and the corporations don't care.

However, when 1.5 million people unsubscribed from Disney+ (which is a prolonged loss of income) they capitulated. 1.5m, .5 of a percent of Americans.

Honestly, "economic blackouts" aren't very effective. There are simple, prolonged boycotts people could participate in without any additional time or cost (such as not using meta as much, using Amazon less/unsubscribing to prime, using Google instead of chatgpt). But people don't have Constitution.

Unfortunately I'm surrounded by idiots, fascists, and idiot fascists here in the ol' USA. Seems like everyone that isn't an idiot or fascist or combo of the two are allergic to boycotting and other mild inconveniences... So, idiots, fascists and lazy, whiney cowards. That's all we got...

Johnson is going to use this as a sign of compliance later, just like he has already been doing.

None of the turncoats are up for reelection next year.
Most are super old white dudes.
Some are from states that just went super blue.

What can we take away from it?

Politicians without skin in the game are dangerous.
Representatives are not representing the will of the people.

What do we do now?

Nope but now I wanna move to NYC! Or at least try to learn from his campaign and success to help better do try and do the same here! Our governor won't stick up for us, so we need to stick up for ourselves and our communities!
