Logan Mountstuart is a character in a novel by William Boyd, but I had to spell it a bit differently.

I like riding my bike, nature stuff, transition to living sustainably, learning Welsh and not tolerating bullying. I'm not American.
oy, don't forget Wales!
Farage's English supremacists are also making inroads in Wales

Welcome back. 🤕

That's a hell of a sentence. I didn't understand it but it sounds like great poetry.

Looks more like Mars to me.

Fiber/Fibre artists sounds cooler than knitters or crocheters.
Oh, and a Welsh seagull on a campsite swooped down and took a hot sausage right off our hot barbecue.

Give me a hint where this is someone - fortunately the Argus won't let me read their stories.

For some reason telegraph headlines pop up on my Facebook feed. Fortunately I'm not able to read them.

This does suppose that people vote for (or against) policies though. Reform voters mostly vote for the name, and whatever they imagine it represents.

I'm trying to help you Gareth. But you carry on - I hope you find a better way.

And I agree with you that the assumption that cars are normal neutral objects on the road is part of the problem. But I'm not sure that an implied assumption of fault on the driver's part is going to work well.
May 27, 2025 at 11:13 AM
I'm sorry to go on Gareth - the guidelines are great but I don't think you used them properly in this case. I looked through the examples and I couldn't see any which came close to yours.
May 27, 2025 at 11:12 AM
It's not easy is it? I don't know how best to describe collisions, but it should probably use neutral language. If a driver claimed whiplash injury after stopping to avoid a child in the road, we wouldn't write 'child injured diver' would we? That implies blame, as did your suggestion.

Please just read your words back Gareth (Driver injures ...) and see if there's a better way. I support what you're trying to achieve, but I think you've made a mistake with your wording.
May 27, 2025 at 10:47 AM
That's good but it doesn't back up what you said. We can't always assume all the fault is on the driver.

Or like saying we shouldn't accept any change because we've accepted the dangers of the thing we've become used to.
May 19, 2025 at 11:53 AM
And how's the evidence looking for cars driven by human drivers then?
May 19, 2025 at 10:49 AM
Well of course there's no evidence of 100% safety - never will be. Autonomous vehicles will bring about changed behaviour. What I hope to see is less car ownership and more shared use eg self driving taxis. This could reduce the sense of entitlement of drivers and move us away from motonormativity.
May 19, 2025 at 9:25 AM
I prefer it if cars didn't run over people.
May 19, 2025 at 9:10 AM
You can see incompetent and reckless drivers every time you're out on the road. Could autonomous vehicles do worse?
May 19, 2025 at 7:57 AM
Good point. Even though those people will never know it was them. I will read your paper. Thanks again.

Excellent video. I agreed with all of it and learnt a few things, but I'm just left thinking about poor Lee Waters who had his political career destroyed by the reaction to the 20 limit in Wales. I don't see how any political party can take on motor normativity and survive. Feeling despondent now.

Ahj GCN, of course! Thanks.
