George Soros pays me to post.
The thing is, I don’t believe we’ll have to do much convincing, because the tariffs are only a piece of the story. Immigrant labor is heavily relied on to produce food in this country, and this admin is waging war on that community.

You know, I had to take some advanced accounting courses for my graduate degree, and I came away thinking only a masochist would enjoy doing this as a profession.

Watching them crash out and argue with random people on social media is both hysterical and pathetic.

Ah, yes, illegal immigrants with no social security number, work history, or banking information are definitely applying for and getting approved for 30 year mortgages in the suburbs of every major city in America.

It's incredible how stupid these people think their readers are.

How stupid do these people think we are?

Very underrated take.
November 13, 2025 at 5:20 PM
It sounds evil-ish, but I agree with this take (and have been arguing for this for years). Every time voters get to experience even a fraction of what republicans are selling, there is always backlash. Nuke the filibuster and let it rip. If we're going to touch the stove, let's do it properly.

I genuinely have more contempt for the NYT than I have for this administration, and that's an extremely high bar to clear.
November 13, 2025 at 5:15 PM
It's so stupid that everyone left of center could bankrupt the NYT in a quarter if we wanted to, but for whatever reason, we keep giving them clicks and money.

Why should we give a fuck about what Fox News is or isn't doing? Dems need to stop analyzing every event through the lens of a Fox News viewer. These people will vote for Satan if there were an (R) next to his name. The Epstein stuff is easily digestible and spreads like wildfire on social media.

People are underselling the possibility of a D+10 year. 2018 was D+9, and the conditions were considerably better for trump/republicans.

I take your point about not making decisions based on the environment (and I wasn't trying to argue that she's the best candidate for the Senate).
November 13, 2025 at 2:43 PM
For sure, I'm not trying to argue that she's the best candidate in TX. I think the blast radius of a 10-15 environment will have us all scratching our heads at newly elected dem senators from states no one is thinking about right now.
November 13, 2025 at 2:40 PM
For sure, 10-15 is wild, but 2018 was 9, and I don't see 2026 being less than that. My point was that if 10-15 comes to fruition, we'll all be talking about very random newly elected dem senators from states that no one is imagining right now.
November 13, 2025 at 2:38 PM
In a D+10-15 environment, does it matter? I know there's still a ways to go, but Beto came within 2 points in a D+9 year.

I've been telling people that prices will never go down, and the only feasible way to see meaningful price reductions is through a deep recession.

Bold takes are all I have, buddy.

Passing laws is irrelevant when the president and his administration fail to follow them and impound legally appropriated money. I would have made the fight over OMB/Vought, but I'm just a random guy cosplaying a character from Gilmore Girls on the Bluesky dot app.

senate brain might be more terminal than pundit brain.
