a casual fan is not a tourist. a casual fan actually has genuine interest in the fandom. a tourist is a cynical newcomer who doesn't actually like the fandom but pretends to cuz *ANY* popular thing is a vehicle for attention/manipulation/power/grifting, and soon gone to the next popular thing.
