the people small talking about the weather aren't actually interested in the weather. It's just a "relatable" thing for them to talk about. They just want to say words and have someone have the appearance of paying attention.

At least my words had meaning. The bane of small talk is that I know the words are meaningless so every word I hear or say is a complete waste of my energy and the other person gets to trap me in the situation

They can be idiots and I can be myself and we can just not infringe on each other. You're assuming I want to infringe on them. I just want them to leave me the fuck alone and talk to each other instead of wasting my time and energy

No. It's not my problem that other people have high social needs. They can go make friends in places where people go to make friends

Why would I be tolerant of someone wasting my time? Is there a rule that people like me with low social needs are supposed to take care of people's high social needs?

I would only be proclaiming myself better if I had as high social needs as them. I don't.

Why is that embarrassing? Why would I be interested in the thing we're all trying to avoid at all times by being in boxes of various sizes? I go from box to box as quick as possible, I don't even think about the time in between, it's incredibly boring.
