I enjoyed touring Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in Hollister recently and meeting with their staff and board members. In Congress, I’m fighting to ensure hospitals in #CA18 receive the necessary funding to provide all of our communities with comprehensive healthcare services.

House Republicans canceled votes tomorrow and are going on vacation without extending ACA tax credits, despite a majority of the House supporting this. What an outrage.

Today is the last day for this class of interns in my DC office. While their time was shortened by the shutdown, they provided a tremendous service to #CA18, and I’m thankful to Mateo, Madison, and Adrien for their hard work.

What I saw today was a composed Jack Smith explaining his logical, evidence-based decisions to prosecute Trump for his election subversion attempts. House Republicans’ smears fell flat.

Special Counsel Jack Smith offered to testify publicly about his investigations into Trump’s wrongdoing, but Republicans insist on keeping his testimony behind closed doors so they can cherry pick and distort his statements. I’m attending his deposition today to get the truth.

Rob Reiner was a beloved Californian who always used his platform to make the world better. Donald Trump making light of him and his wife’s murders is a new low for this petty, hateful man. His party needs to condemn this.

As a champion for privacy and the 4th Amendment throughout my time in Congress, I am working to re-introduce bipartisan legislation that will end unwarranted surveillance of Americans’ personal data while still preserving our national security.

Trump’s tariffs have caused immense harm to farmers in districts like mine. His relief plan is a band-aid on a much larger wound.

I had a wonderful meeting with the San Jose African American Community Service Agency last week to discuss all the services they provide and tour their Family Resource Center. Their educational, social, and recreational programs are an important part of fostering a strong and inclusive San Jose.

Today marks 70 years since the Montgomery Bus Boycotts began, a critical moment for the Civil Rights Movement. We must continue the work of Rosa Parks and Dr. King by speaking out against injustice and fighting for a nation that’s free and fair for all.

It’s simply not possible for this Administration to talk credibly about competing with China while undermining NASA and our research enterprise.

Trump said he would revive manufacturing in America - he’s done the exact opposite with his tariffs, and House Republicans are blindly following along. We must reverse course.

It was a pleasure to visit Wonder Wood Ranch in Monterey County to learn about the equine therapy and nurturing environment they provide to local youth. I’m always proud to support funding for impactful services such as this in our community.

Thanksgiving is more expensive this year due to Trump’s economic policies. 7 in 10 Americans say their grocery prices have risen in the last year. Trump can say costs are going down all he wants, but anybody who actually buys their own food knows it’s a lie.
