stockphotography isnt the big dream or big money, but a way to spend more time with their beloved craft and gives the room to grow while making money. Or its pictures on subjects they are passionate about that they end up selling. Stockphotos are photography. It irks me so much. Not very respectful.

It's super naive. And I can see how someone from the doujin sphere would see it like that but how many doujin artists do have jobs related to their creative fields or move from doujin to more full time possibilities.

There will be less photography, less skills, less time, people can't spend the time due to being pushed out. Capitalism has always done this, and its always been a privilege but this does worsen it somewhat and there will be less time for people to make art. let's make art beyond capitalism...

I must say it's all very naive in my opinion and disconnected from how creative people carve out a living in capitalism. Folks make stockphotos and that gives them time to train and practice their craft while being paid instead of working other jobs. But ZUN doesn't view stockphotos as important.
