Oh, and we've got a couple streets that are WAY too wide that could be used to build connecting bike lanes from the Sanford side of town to the Jonesboro side of town, picking up courthouse connectivity along the way. (Only rural courthouse in the country when it was built.)

I love the new bike lanes they're planning. I ride those streets. I'd love to see 2 miles of bike lane down Highway 42. It would connect many homes, two schools, and four churches to upcoming bike lanes, hospital, and other services. I don't even ride there. It's just a good idea.

I've spent the last few years examining the city's horrible infrastructure. Our only bike lanes are painted, minimal, and take you only to a park, a taco place, and the prison. Sidewalks are often non-existent, and has too many deadly intersections. I've got thoughts.
