The bard stopped for a moment to look around the clearing of the hut. They shrugged. There didn’t seem to be anyone about, or any security measures to zap, fry, or entangle him. The only thing left to do was to step up to the door and knock.

“Hello? Is anyone in?”

“Hello?” They called out, still walking in the direction of the smoke.

“Is someone here? I certainly hope nothing that isn’t supposed to be on fire is on fire…“

That couldn’t be, the general vibe of the forest and the fauna within was too calm.

Perhaps that plume of smoke is an inn or a tavern he can stay the night in. His gig isn’t for 2 more days anyway… they changed course to go towards it.
