eventually however, the mane six do escape and discover starlight’s deception, but fluttershy is much too brainwashed and instead runs away with starlight. the au really starts up plot-wise just after they run away into the tunnels.

and it makes sense to fluttershy!! she sees what starlight wants, so the very next day she gets her hair cut and can’t quite look the rest of the mane six in the eyes when she goes to meet them at their makeshift prison again.

the premise of this au is what if fluttershy got caught when she was spying on starlight and starlight, instead of punishing her, saw that she was sympathetic to her cause and just… sat down and talked to her.
