I think we’re getting to a point where perhaps AFRICOM should not get the benefit of the doubt in assessing whether it’s just ineffective at its stated mission but instead questioned as to whether its stated mission is honest, just like Wagner lies about its mission

I don’t think the Quincy Institute are Wagner fans, I think an organization whose stated mission is to influence US foreign policy is much more likely to write directly on US foreign policy.

“Extremist, authoritarian, and abusive.” How exactly? It amazes me that with all the state backing of the pro-Israel side, and indeed the very real consequences faced by professionals who openly oppose Israel’s action, the pro-Palestinian movement is so often depicted as this all-powerful group

I think reducing the CIA to a “failson” network is silly and downplays the vast coordination that went into ensuring countless many of the global oppressed remained so.
