because even if the super strength or whatever made it easier to commit the crimes, almost all evidence is now obsolete, so actually convicting is impossible, right?

If i had to make this a scene and place it, it would be after Venti had just woken up, before the Traveler sees him for the first time. This moment, of trying to heal Dvalin and failing, makes him realize he can't help Dvalin on his own - or at least that Dvalin won't let him help yet.
