Rapidly becoming ‘former friends’(Canadian perspective). I do not believe most Americans understand how badly Trump has damaged decades-long alliances /friendships. Trust has been essentially destroyed.

Sorry, John, I appreciate what you are doing, but this is not how the rest of the world sees it (Canadian here). Until/unless Trump/Trumpism is repudiated and defeated in a meaningful way, it is what America stands for. I do not think this has sunk in with most Americans

The friendship between our two nations (i am Canadian) is a special one, but i do not think Americans yet understand how deeply damaging these U.S. threats are to the relationship. These are not the actions of a friend and ally.

Don’t forget about the Cleveland Orchestra, which performs in the exquisite Severance Hall. Btw, I’m not from Cleveland (I live in western Canada)but have visited there twice specifically to take in the Cleve. Orch. The Museum of Art is also outstanding.

Thank you Steve. You’ve nailed it again. I am a former faithful Morning Joe viewer who hasn’t watched since the capitulation at Mar a Lago. I miss watching Willie Geist and Jonathan Lemire , whom i believe to be persons of integrity, but Joe and Mika i can no longer abide nor stomach.

Joe, I believe you are correct here on both principle and politics. The non/anti -Trump side will gain nothing- and lose much- by allowing important principles to be compromised just because the other side does it 10x worse.

The cheerleading of this pardon is, to say the least, short-sighted. It might feel good (to some) in the moment, but without question it is a political gift to Trump and his allies. It helps no one apart from the Biden family and the Republicans. A squalid as well as politically stupid decision.

What a joke. I despise MAGA, but Bidens pardon was unethical. I thought Bluesky was a place where people could respectfully disagree.

I would go further and call it offensive. I understand the emotional reaction to the Trumpists’ outrageous actions, but this pardon remains an unprincipled act and an abuse of his powers.

Respectfully disagree. I am as anti-Trump and anti-MAGA as anyone, but do not think this reflects well on Pres. Biden. Understand your reasoning but i view this as a case of ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’
