Great video, I watched it yesterday. I've recently been getting more into photography so the point about how crews are being lazy about the cinematography so it's easier to work with in post really struck me. Fear of committing to a scene.

Can't wait for them to animate international assassin's arc

Another incredible thing is that while dogs evolved to read our expressions, we also evolved that with respect to them too. Co-evolution. Nature's greatest partnership.

You can kind of sort out the people wearing it like a skin to signal some cynical adjacency to technology by checking if they understand the techniques used by the medium. Lots of mistakes and/or the not even pixels of an AI image is usually an indication they don't give a shit about the art itself.

I've had more issues with win11 than Linux

Making up a massive cyber attack to pump the stock would be such a stupid and hilarious thing to do

I know this is legally distinct Vect though lol

I can't decide if Vect is actually divorced dad or not. On the one hand ascended to the highest circles of drukhari society after being born a slave, and ruling with an iron fist and crushing the aristocracy has probably saved Commorragh and the Eldar race multiple times. But he's such a dick.

I think this segment of cheap micro pcs running Unix based oses is well positioned to make a really interesting impact on consumer computing over the next couple of years. Add in framework, and you have a very interesting segment starting to develop.

In comes the steam machine, which looks like an incredibly capable computer, it's likely going to be subsidized by valve, runs linux, and seems largely free of AI horseshit and copilot buttons. Simultaneously, Apple has fucked up AI deployment to the point that they seem uninterested in catching up.

I think win11's stability issues, the AI push, and the forced upgrades are a sign of irreversible institutional rot inside Microsoft, and I also think this is coming at a similar economic moment to what birthed the netbook.

I've had way more problems with win11 than I have had with the mac. Peripherals disconnecting and reconnecting, my headphones not being detected, freezes and crashes that never happened on win10. It's impressive how dogshit it is.

I've been using a Mac mini as my personal dev box and drawing tablet driver for almost a year now and I love it. The M chip is fast and absolutely sips power. I also have a huge, bulky windows machine I still play games on and recently had to upgrade to win11.
