Here is an interactive map of the 250 million acres of public land that the Republican party wants to sell to the highest bidder to pay for their tax cuts for the wealthiest 5%. This is theft.

A low cloud ceiling in the Cascades is always magic.

Living in a studio apartment and being a Costco shopper often becomes a rousing game of "will it fit?" I would like to announce that Costco Kimchi does indeed fit on the bottom shelf of my small fridge.

With fascists controlling the country, I find there's no merit in trying to puzzle out where this particular bout of depression came from. This is actually my baseline mood. At least this simplifies things.

What happened to Caspian? Their earlier albums contain some of the best, moodiest post-rock I've ever heard, complete with metal sections. I was excited to see they've released two full albums in 2025... only to find out it's... pop. Just straight up pop. What?

I am overwhelmed by the turnout of these protests, and I wish I had the option to personally thank every last attendee. It took a spark of genuine optimism to make me realize how low my mental health was sinking as we descended into fascism.

Bravo!

Are tax returns even going out this year? The IRS would have to be in a functional state for returns to actually be sent out, and I'm not exactly optimistic these days...

While the Bernie/AOC rallies are extremely exciting, I yearn for the day when Americans show up in those numbers to a protest. Right now we only ever seem to show up in force when a congressperson organizes it. We need to learn from France, they know how to protest better than anyone.

My day yesterday was lovely. Sometimes all a person needs is some recreational drugs and a 15 mile walk around a medium sized PNW city to gaze at newly emerging flowers. It's fascinating how much rosemary is growing in almost every neighborhood.

Are there any other Reddit refugees on Blue Sky? I see a lot of posts about the downfall of Twitter, but have yet to see anyone mention what's happening to Reddit. The censorship happening over there is unreal. They're turning it into another X.

The things happening to Reddit are wild, y'all. I was permanently banned when my... uh, unflattering opinions of 47 and the Twitter guy were flagged as violent (they weren't) but now they've taken it further and are handing out bans for UPVOTING posts deemed "violent." You can't even say "Luigi."

The stress of the last week living in political hell has wreaked havoc on my body. Everything is sore. Remind yourself daily that they want you stressed out so you disengage. Take care of yourself, otherwise they win. Self care can be an act of political defiance.
