I always thought “Money” was supposed to be ironic. The most jarring song on the album that made them the most money. The rest of the album is so much better.

This article seems to chronicle Rowling’s virulent stance if anyone else needs a timeline. I didn’t know anything about a new show. I wonder if she’s ever met a trans or nonbinary kid? I doubt she could keep this stance if she’s met/ taught some of my students.

Yes! Nothing fancy. I buy a huge bag and only use it for my hummingbirds. You boil the water and sugar mixture briefly and let it cool and then keep leftovers is in the fridge.

I get it. I live in RI, so it’s a blue state. We have Utah ties, so we visit often and contemplate moving there. It’s the politics that really scares me. The politics and I’m a high school English teacher who doesn’t buy in religiously. I keep imagining getting chased with pitchforks.

I’m against violence anyway, but specifically right now because I don’t want tRump to use protest as an excuse for military action/martial law. Pretty sure he’s looking for any excuse to suspend our first amendment rights.

Exactly! Plus it sucks sitting around, feeling miserable about the US after we voted and helped in the last election and still lost. I can’t just sit around doing nothing and just scream into the echo chamber.

Congratulations! If you feed them, they will come back generationally. 1 cup sugar/4 cups water (I keep a bottle in the fridge), clean their little feeders with white vinegar/water every 2-3 days depending on how hot it is. Hummingbirds bring me joy.
