In case you missed it, Kerry Brown wrote a book that plagiarized Shelley Rigger’s classic book title.

I, along with others who were asked to review Kerry’s manuscript, said verbatim to change the title.

In the most tacky and unprofessional fashion, he stole her title anyway.

Hey Taipei - next Wednesday I am part of an amazing panel organized by @poscwty1.bsky.social where we will discuss whether or not Taiwan overstates threats from China.

The event is in Mandarin, but all are welcome! 不見不散!

Under Trump’s leadership, people in Taiwan and South Korea feel less secure and may no longer see the United States as a reliable defender of peace and democracy.
April 25, 2025 at 8:37 PM
Beyond perceptions of partnership and military support, overall attitudes toward the United States have also decreased. Positive perceptions of the United States as a country, and of U.S.-Taiwan and U.S.-South Korean relations, are down significantly relative to July 2024.
April 25, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Similarly, under the Trump administration, respondents in Taiwan and South Korea also feel less confident that the United States will support them in the event of a military conflict with China and North Korea, respectively.
April 25, 2025 at 8:30 PM
Both Taiwanese and South Korean citizens believe that the United States is less trustworthy now than a year ago, when Joe Biden was president.

Hey @semafor.com I sincerely appreciate your coverage of what’s happening in Taiwan, but it is wrong to call the drills a de facto blockade, they’re just drills. There is nothing like a blockade actually in effect. Please consider rewording.
