There are quick reference giudes out there, but each time you call/write do it for a specific issue. Give your name and address, state whether you support or are against, and ask for a written response. Be polite, because it will most likely be a young staffer. Follow up if you dont get a response.

Sadly there is actually a facility, the GMOC, there for undocumented immigrants found at sea, which have been determined to qualify as in "fear for their life". The US holds them there until they can find a 3rd country to take them. refugeerights.org/wp-content/u...

The GMOC is used for immigrants found at sea, who have been determined to qualify as refugees in fear for their life. The US detains them there until they can find another country to take them. Conditions are horrible. Expanding that to a detention camp is worse. refugeerights.org/wp-content/u...

A facility that could house up to 120, has been there and used for decades, and was for people picked up at sea. Big difference.

Thank you for your work, Wriston. I know some of the amazing things you did in service to the Airmen, and how infuriating it is to see everything move backwards. I can't even speak lately without wanting to just jump down people's throats.
