Maybe... she didn't mention it because Sierra would get mad that Rachel felt herself safe enough after the SITD play to save the idol for later but didn't use the idol to save Sierra? Rachel did lie about finding the idol after Sierra was voted out.

I was very impressed with Genevieve this season. She was my predicted first boot from her starting tribe based on pre-game interviews.
