Another Duolingo milestone… maybe edging closer to putting a sentence together in French independently 😆

Ngl, happy with how these turned out - may have been the best wings I’ve made so far! #foodsky

7) The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger. Wasn’t sure as the story reached the middle, but it really grew on me. Holden’s all over the place, but the ending came together brilliantly and I understood it and Holden’s mentality in the end! #booksky

5 & 6) Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. Carroll’s imagination is pure magic! Both books are full of curious creatures and clever wordplay that draw you right in. Timeless classics that reminds us it's okay to be wonderfully weird 😆

Great to spend some time in the Norwegian Fjords over the past week! 🇳🇴 Some incredible scenery and very much missing it already 😭

A tad late but it has now been acquired! Now just need to slowly build up on a few games 🙌

En route to Edinburgh! Looking forward to attending a work-related event tomorrow 🙌

Post run - such a lovely morning for my first #parkrun in a while! Slowly improving my 5k time and edging closer to 28mins 🏃‍♂️🙌

4) The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. A classic for a reason and it still holds up! The alien threat feels genuinely real, but it's the human response that hits hardest. More about survival, the human response and resilience than solely focusing on the invasion. Definitely worth the read

Unfortunately couldn’t keep to my target (will hopefully catch up throughout the year) but…
3) SPQR by @wmarybeard.bsky.social - fantastic and vivid read that brilliantly explains the origins of Rome from village to empire. Highly recommend if interested in Roman history!

Good start to the day hitting a 200 day streak on Duolingo - though I still don’t really know how much I’m improving by 😂

2) The Song of Achilles by @madelinemiller.bsky.social - a really captivating exploration of destiny and heroism. The relationship between Achilles and Patroclus is so endearing and it has such a powerful ending! Highly recommend it for anyone who loves mythology and emotional storytelling! #booksky

Great to spend the day in London yesterday and to see a talk with @aliceoseman.bsky.social (a late Christmas gift for my other half) - such a lovely event! #heartstopper

1) (Finished in Jan, I promise!) Failed State by @samfr.bsky.social - a compelling, thought-provoking read that highlights the dire state of UK government and why systemic change is needed. Well-researched and well-argued, if you’re into policy/UK politics, I’d definitely recommend! #booksky

Before and after running photos today - haven’t been able to keep on top of it as much recently! 😬 Hope everyone’s having a good Saturday 🙌

A good day making wontons, followed by a long walk. I’m not sure why I look so angry walking the dog in the photo that was taken though 😂

Hope everyone’s had/having a lovely Saturday 😊

Thank you to Minister @gwynnemp.bsky.social for recognising that people with brain tumours must have access to more treatment and excellent care through the cancer plan. We look forward to working with the government to ensure this happens!
