I wonder if I might be related to Duke. My maternal grandma's maiden name was Proctor. Her older brother, George, rests in the American Cemetery located high above Omaha Beach in Normandy.

I have one of those! Summer of 1979.
He passed away on 15 November 2011 at the VA hospital in Columbia MO.
I thought it so fitting that he went to Heaven from a VA during #VeteransDay week.
Miss you, Daddy💙

I've been conflicted on how to comment on #VeteransDay this year. My blood runs green from my #USArmy heritage. Great-Uncles who served in WW1 & WW2. Father who served 32 yrs beginning in WW2. Older brother, Vietnam. Younger brother, Cold War.

I am not a quilter tho I aspired to be one. I have 12 squares that I began embroidering in my Freshman year of college. I think 2 are finished. There is still time, right? 😉
