Very cool study from Alexander Johnston team at Michigan State Uni. revealing an interesting role of VTA dopamine neurons in stim-evoked mediated devaluation of food rewards.
I especially love the tagging of neurons during learned aversion to manipulate them later on.

Devaluing memories of reward: a case for dopamine - Communications Biology
This study reveals that dopamine is necessary for devaluing sensory memories of reward and thus plays a more complex role in reinforcement learning than traditionally considered.
