No, it's not far-fetched. Mothers give all of their time and energy to their kids in ways that fathers statistically don't. They give up their hobbies, spending time with friends, their careers, their education, and their bodies. It's okay to recognize that having kids takes away parts of your life.

the conversation is about the emotional and physical toll that child-rearing takes on women, because they're statistically more likely to take on the brunt of child care. why are you pressed? also, acknowledging that child-rearing is difficult and not for everyone doesn't make children a plague.

My uncle was detained by masked ICE agents in Miami a few weeks ago for the crime of walking into a Home Depot while brown. They didn't believe him when he said, in English, that he is a citizen and a veteran. It's definitely giving secret police.
