I agree with all that but I feel like with it not being a standalone release it shouldn’t qualify for GOTY. I’d welcome a separate DLC/Expansion award. There’s been many great DLC’s through the years that haven’t been awarded that should have.

Shadow of Erdtree being nominated. Great DLC but I don’t understand how it can be considered for GOTY

The Beginners Guide. It was the first game that made me truly understand that a game can be art. It feels like a visual performance piece mixed with a poem and forces players to consider relationships and the breaking of privacy in such a unique way. Really recommend.
