Ah, those... jerks. Sorry, I can't find a better word.

Yep, the filter bubble. I guess Richard Bach's "four billion people live in four billion separate worlds" has never felt more real.

Very weird opinion. I mean, I'd still like to meet the person who said 'first-person POV equals bad writing'. I know some say it's the easiest way to write a story, but... also a controversial statement, imo.

You're just old-fashioned. It seems to me most of the classical heroes also were rather handsome. 😉

Absolutely! I wrote a similar post several years ago: "If you're suffering from blank page syndrome, just fill the page with anything! A doodle, a silly joke or even an ink blot." Tho I'm not sure if it always works, haha.

Never reread your writing, stay perfect! 😆

O rly? 🤪

It was kinda joke, but sometimes I really doubt I am.

Perhaps, but that's certainly not the main reason. Maybe I just have too much free time. Or maybe I'm just not gifted enough, haha!

I'm not so lucky. As I always say, I have to create my characters from all this crap I keep inside my mind, hehe. Peoples, songs, memories, pictures, myths, fairytales etc. But as soon as they arrived, we start the journey!

Me not. 😭 I mean, I'm lazy like hell, I guess a sloth is my totemic animal, but none of my first drafts are perfect. Sometimes I think I'm cursed, and just doomed to rewrite my work endlessly. 😔

Pretty often I don't even have a clue where it may end up. Come on, life's a journey, not a destination! 😉

Nope, my mother dragon always told me: "Don't play with food!" Oops! 😆

Eh, just to fool the primitive bipedal creatures and use them for their own needs, I guess. 😆

Oh yeah! Delany is absolutely mind-blowing! You know, I'm not a native speaker — my English is OK to read Harry Potter, that's all. But I tried reading Delany in English. I didn't get very far, but it was outstanding! He breaks all the rules, doesn't care about anything, and sounds incredibly cool!

It's a difficult question. I think of several authors: Zelazny, Sapkowski, King, Simak... A very special place: Lord Dunsany. But the one, who once pushed me to writing, was not a writer, but a screenwriter. George Lucas with his Willow. I thought: what the fuck! I also can do! 😆

Hmm... I hate the days between stories. I feel empty. Just me is not enough. 😆
July 29, 2025 at 9:59 AM
Haha! It seems to me that the publisher said something like this to J. K. Rowling: 'Stories about boys at a magic school are old-fashioned; no one will buy them.' (I'm not sure about the exact wording.) Never say never. 😉
