Green Party "could" get 4 but may not. What is fact is that as it stands the vast majority of constituencies will get zero Green MSs. Meaning in those constituencies voting Green will be a waste, weaken the progressive vote and only help the far-right Reform.

Fair enough for Westminster (though they will only get 1 seat at best) but next yr for the Senedd election, as it stands at best the Greens will get seats in 4 constituencies. In the rest they will be wasted votes that only help the climate change denying far-right.

Sam. Parties need at least 12% to get 2 seat in a const in the vast majority of constituencies in Wales a vote for the Greens will result in no Green MSs this will only split the progressive vote and help Reform. Greens are playing with fire if they deny these facts.

No Zac Polanski bounce for the Greens. Those thinking about voting Green need to ask themselves. Do I want the sugar rush of voting Green but possibly letting in Reform. Anthony Slaughter and his party must be honest about this very real possibility.

Ironic. Over the yrs many things in Wal have been called anti-English - not supporting Eng in WC; a tourism tax; 2nd home premiums; devolution; Wel lang speakers, etc. Yet the same people who don't hesitate with the above are unable to call Reform UK what they clearly are - a far-right racist party.

Will be interesting how the Tories deal with Reform. They are losing the vast majority of their votes to Reform yet rarely criticise them. Andrew RT is always screaming about Plaid and Labour on social media, as if his voters are going moving left? As a strategy it appears to be insane.

The history of the Greens in Wales is one of failure to meet the hype. They need 12% for a seat in a constituency. They are nowhere near getting more than 2 seats. Voting Green in most of Wales simply splits the progressive vote and helps Reform.

The Labour Pty, Your Pty and Lib Dems believe that Britain should be separate from other countries. Are they British nationalist parties? BTW as the Green Pty of England and Wales also believe in Welsh independence I presume u believe the Green Pty is also a nationalist Pty.

That's not an answer to the why Plaid Cymru are a "nationalist" party? Are the Labour Party or the Green Pty also nationalist parties in your opinion?

Why are Plaid Cymru a "nationalist" party?
December 6, 2025 at 6:48 PM
What they are saying is that Oswald Mosely and his British Union of Fascists were on the right side of history when they campaigned for Britain to stay out of the war and give Hitler a free hand.

The phrase "Devo-sceptic" is in realty just anti-Welsh or British nationalist. We have difficulty calling fellow Brits what they are. For example, Reform UK are a far-right, racist party not a populist right party. Was Franco just a "devo-sceptic" when he got rid of Catalan and Basque autonomy?

Please Your Party must not stand in the Senedd elections. Parties need 12% in a const to win a seat. No chance you will reach that. You would be the hand maiden for the far-right Reform UK, splitting the centre-left vote and giving the Government to Farage. Caerphilly shows who can defeat Reform.

I agree about Plaid and the environment. The fact remains that it would be dishonest not to say that the Greens have very little chance of winning seats outside Cardiff. Therefore, on the progressive side of things you either vote Labour or Plaid or vote Green and demonstrably help Reform.

Problem is parties need 12% to win a seat in a constituency; Greens are nowhere near that - they are on course to reach 12% in a few seats; Greens have always underachieved in Wales. So at the moment 10s of thousands of votes will be wasted voting Green and Reform will be delighted.
