Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

A Double Crested Cormorant and a California Gull on the American River. The gull is one of many following the salmon run. I mistakenly let my dogs off leash to swim and they found and rolled in the dead salmon on the shore. Now they're stinky and I have to wash them.

Every hotel should have a little ledge right outside the door so that when you're coming back to the room with two coffees in the morning you have someplace to set one down while you futz with the keycard and open the door. I've been in exactly one (1) hotel that has that. It's a game-changer.
