Wankpanzers. I wish people would refer to them as such. It’s far more emotive and perjorative and might even provoke a response from the media.

Thank for the reply Phillip. No this is ‘compost’ from post consumer ‘green’ waste collected by councils. Sent to processing centres and composted to sell to farmers as a soil improver. Literally millions of tons spread all over the countryside, full of plastic. All above board - PAS 100 standard.

right next to a National Nature Reserve in Staffordshire. Pasture for cows which will no doubt eat the small plastic fragments. Repeated all over England.

just as bad - ‘soil improver’ for UK farmers containing billions of small pieces of plastic on every field this is spread

This is a national scandal and needs to be stopped, we are literally poisoning our countryside yet no-one is talking about it. How do I get this raised at a national level so someone will take up the cause for me?

This isnt just happening here, it’s happening all over our country and it’s legal as this conforms to the PAS100 industry standard.

In one hand we’re rightly fining people £500 for dropping litter and yet in another we’re allowing farmers to coat the countryside in microplastics. Right next to a water course, in very wet conditions.

Sponsored by a gas company. That’s the reason why we’re in so much fuel poverty. Fossil fuels.

Could be the title to a Beautiful South song. This could be…

Great post. Thank you. Nice to see Shrewsbury on there. Wish Wolverhampton was. So dangerous to cycle around there and no safe cycling betw there and South Staffs where I live. Don’t understand why we can’t have cycle paths next to railway lines. Unfortunately the car is king in #southstafforshire

I absolutely love what’s been done there. Need to do the Strand next, what an awful road that is.

Yep that was me. Voted Labour. Never again.

Another gift to China. The brain drain from the US continues at pace. Immeasurable and irreversible self-harm. What a legacy Trump is leaving for his country.
