In 1923, jockey Frank Hayes won a horse race at Belmont Park in New York despite being dead. During the race, he suffered a fatal heart attack but remained in the saddle as his horse, Sweet Kiss, crossed the finish line first. This made him the only jockey in history to win a race posthumously.
