The humble carrot, a steadfast provision for long voyages. Mouthwatering for not only horses and vegans, but also many seamen.

A powerhouse of the galley, the Shipmate. Established in 1850s, the Shipmate brand boasts an all cast iron caboose in taking both firewood and coal fuel. Compact enough for the narrowest ships yet grand in its ability to pump out batches of dishes. Any cook’s dream!

Made a food weight that caps at 5lbs. Took me a while to figure out how to get it to drop 1 by 1 from the basket 🫩

Another early test I did for the 2nd platform. My favorite part of working on the game is the swinging rigs in the back. They were so fun to animate. The seaweed covered cables underwater sadly didn’t make it into the game.

This is the first motion test I started with when making rocketpult mini. I really liked the animated platform but quickly realize it didn’t help readability when it came to gameplay so we scrapped that.

Updates on game dev stuff:
Fixed collision/physics issue with putting things in basket. First stab at greyboxing. I might get rid of the hallways cuz that’s not great on ships. But maybe this is a weird ship.

updates on cooking system
I finally figured out how to get pieces to turn color on its own timer! 🎉
I've been stuck on this for roughly 2 weeks. A little scared of how this will break when I start adding other types of food 😅

Dev vlog time:
After several days of redoing logic, I think I’m close to getting these logs to behave the way I want. I still couldn’t figure out how to get my cut carrots to change colors when cooking. Might come back to that part when I unlock the advance programmer achievement.

This month I’ve been learning how to make cooking mechanics. I can now equip/unequip knife, chop and rotate in any position. Next step is to pick up the chopped pieces and I have no idea how to do that yet.
