Working in London this weekend and taking up a colleague’s recommendation for this awesome sound installation - Data-Cosm [No. 1] (2024) by Ryoji Ikeda. Lying on the floor and gazing up in awe. Can’t wait to share all about it with the @uwebristolofficial.bsky.social Music Tech students on Tuesday!

A really special project! And many thanks to #CarsonCooman for taking the time and trouble to record all 15 pieces written over the last 18 years.
Carson Cooman has recorded all of Liz Lane’s organ works, which were originally written as gifts for the composer’s father. Listen to them all here:

Huge thanks to Flowers Band and Paul Holland for the most beautiful performance of my ‘Serenata’ this afternoon in Cheltenham - and for asking me to say a few words before the performance. Brilliant concert! 🎶

Delighted to find out that two movements from my ‘Rhythm of Light’ will be broadcast on @bbcradio3 next Sunday evening on the Brass Banding with Hannah Peel show, recorded by Hepworth Band and conducted by Ryan Watkins. The music celebrates the life and work of sculptor Barbara Hepworth.

Thanks @composersed.bsky.social for the mention of Ruby Fanfare! 🎶
Composers Edition’s Rishin Singh provides an overview of our composers’ shorter orchestral works. Despite their brevity, these pieces make imaginative use of the myriad timbres and colours of the orchestra!

I too went to Cardiff for my undergrad, PhD and taught there for several years. I am pretty sure I wouldn’t be doing what I do now without the wonderful teaching and support I received. Please sign if you are able. Thank you. www.change.org/p/save-cardi...

My first Bluesky post & it’s a music one. 😊 🎶 Travelled to Perth this weekend (that’s the bridge on my profile) where the excellent London based Regent Brass & their conductor Alan Duguid played a piece of mine at the Scottish Challenge contest. Music is always so good shared with others. 😍
