I was working for a magazine doing paste-up, fitting widows and orphans in and correcting typos with teeny Xacto surgery, at the same time I was teaching myself Pagemaker. Weird and wonderful time.

At one time in my life I could stretch and/or cat curl in all sorts of ways in a coach seat. Of course back then the seats were bigger and I was smaller.

In east coast cities, older buildings, both apartments and single family houses, are likely to have radiator heat. In Oregon and Washington all of the houses I've lived in have forced air heat. I prefer radiators because they are quieter, not as drying and dusty.

If i could actually pick the unfamiliar brands up and look at the labels, I might actually try them. But the last time I was in Target, everything was in jail.

Turned 60 this year. Any surprises in my 50s (2016-present) were overshadowed by current events or social factors (kid leaving the nest, parents growing older, that sort of thing)

The same number of doctor's appointments, but more dentist's appointments.

years ago, the Iraqi blogger Riverbend had a side blog that was just recipes and someone made that same comment about sumac.
(IIRC, she responded something like "if I included mushrooms in a recipe I'd trust my readers not to use the poison ones!"
