With the Midnight Beta officially here, Legion Remix still ongoing, the WoW Anniversary Event up and running, and all the current expansion activities, where's your focus? Mine has largely been Legion Remix, which I am playing almost despite myself. I find that I am bored of the content, since Legion is where I generally level alts so it's very familiar content, but that I have some fun mucking around in it.

At the time of writing this, Legion Remix is three days away and I am still unsure if I’m going to play it. Well, that’s not quite true. I know myself well enough to know that I will probably end up playing Remix. What I’m really not sure about is whether it will capture and hold my attention long enough to play it long term.

Is anyone getting tired of the Gearing-Go-Round? One of the things I’ve leaned hard into over the past two expansions is gearing and I’m not sure why. I’m a largely solo player who occasionally dabbles in Group Finder content, like Timewalking Dungeons, mostly for the transmog and collecting. I could say that I’m into Delves but it would be a lie, or maybe just an exaggeration.

I'm sure most people who read about Word of Warcraft on blogs have heard about the ongoing Collector's Bounty event. Until July 29th players can run pre-Dragonflight dungeons and raids for an increased drop chance on mounts and transmog. I've heard many comments and opinions on this, including both positive and negative ones, and I really think this is the kind of thing that is personal to each player's own experience and playstyle.

There is no denying that, in 2025, there is a lot of World of Warcraft content. You could even be forgiven, I think, for being overwhelmed by just the Blizzard Launcher. The first decision, before you even open a game, is which version of WoW you even feel like playing. There's the retail version (The War Within), Classic Cata (soon-to-be MoP), and Classic (Vanilla).

Last Fall I had an idea to create a website/blog that focused on playing WoW as a mostly solo player. Since this is how I play WoW (and at the time I was spending a lot of time in the game), I thought it would be a nice way to connect to the community and share experiences and information. I didn’t think about, or really even realize that I should think about, how that would look as a functioning website.

Horrific Visions: Revisited is open today. For those who played end game content in BfA this should be a familiar, if possibly groan-worthy, event. I get the feeling a lot of people either liked Horrific Visions or hated them. Like the BfA version, Horrific Visions will take you to corrupted versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar where players will be asked to complete objectives and defeat certain challenges.

I’ve been thinking about this for a couple of weeks now and, even though this blog/website hasn’t been around for long, I am going to put it on hiatus for at least the month of April. The truth is that I’m not playing WoW as much lately and I have other real life things I need to focus on. I’m not able to put in the time and effort to really make this website something I’m proud of and I’m just not passionate enough about the game to make work with everything else that’s going on.
