Kyo would say for Sora his red flags are the way Sora talks.

Sometimes he says things as if he could do whatever he wanted, literally. Kyo can never quite put his finger on it, but Sora will look at him in a way that makes his skin crawl.

This has a bit to unpack. So this means they ARE using more AI bts they wouldn't have discloses if they weren't caught. "Making fun of it" but still using it. Because screw the environment right?

They know its bad but still used CGPT on people's work and thought itd be okay...

It reads: "I'd like to better understand the root cause of this feedback because there are competing conversations happening. On one hand, creators are telling us that they aren't getting enough promotion, are being drowned out by Marvel, DC, etc. and the other that it's not ok to promote without permission. If the root cause is AI, that is ok. We can remove that from the equation entirely. There are plenty of promotion methods we can use that AI would never be a consideration for, like hero assets -- which we do reach out ahead of time because we use unorthodox aspect ratios so we ask for files."

This response is from their users Discord (redacting user in case they don't want outside to know who they are). I really felt this bit was important to highlight for multiple point. Firstly big props to the creators that more eloquently expressed the issue than I do haha 3/
A conversation on Discord between two people. The first user is redacted and says "While I appreciate the transparency now, I'm still not comfortable with this. Based on your reply, it seems like there's still an awful lot of AI involved in multiple stages and this does not address the issue of consent at all. You didn't have my permission to do this and I imagine you aren't getting permission from the all of the artists in these other videos either. To be frank, even Webtoon gets more consent than this. I've had to sign release forms for them to use artwork they asked me for on their social media, that I willingly drew and gave to them. Not many artists I know would be okay with any part of their work being fed into AI/ChatGPT and being spat out for "content", even if it's edited at some stages by humans. So again, it's very frustrating because if you guys would have asked me, I would've sent you things or even made a video you could use. This was a platform I was really rooting for but this situation really rubs me the wrong way." The second user responds: "The only time AI is used is summarizing the series description. For consent, are you saying we are not allowed to promote your content without checking in with you first? Or is it cases where any form of AI is involved? We can cancel the entire video series if it's that concerning. Ultimately it is our responsibility to identify ethical uses for AI as a technology. If there are concerns over the use of that then our relationship with you is more valuable than any use case of AI.

This video, featuring multiple comics (who I am unsure of since it's been deleted) was admitted to have been made with the involvement of CGPT. This summarization, as they always do, got things incorrectly based on the sentiment of the few people I saw posting. 2/
A discord comment from the owner of Global Comix. It reads as follows: "I deleted the video. The only AI used is ChatGPT summarizing the series description into a format better fit for a video script. I then put between 2-3 hours into the scripts for the 7 videos that week based on my knowledge of the series. They're then reviewed for accuracy by another member of the team if I haven't read something completely. Michelle (in the video) is a real person, and the editor is also a real person that chooses the panels based on my direction to pick moments that best match the script and my intended tone for the video. Our general stance on internal use of AI is: We'll never use anyone's content to train AI (even in the case of these videos, I have explicitly told ChatGPT it is not allowed to use inputs to further its knowledge of said content, and the content is never used -- just the description) We'll never output whole ads or pieces of communication using AI We might use AI to help proof read or format copy We might use AI assisted tools in software like photoshop to help with specific production tasks, like content-aware fill, All final compositions are ultimately created by a humans The TLDR is we use GPT to summarize, so any errors here are human errors. There are enough checks and balances in place that I can confidently say we screwed up with the script, not GPT."
