Not sure if this info transfers to a Rasmussen but I've read from someone who does a lot of loom maintenance/refurbishing that you can use screen door springs from the hardware store to replace Macomber brake springs. Maybe worth a shot?

Good to know, thanks!

So exciting!! She's stunning. What kind of sizing treatment are you planning to use?

Absolutely! My rigid heddle loom flips upside down and becomes a small warping board but it's going to be wonderful to have a larger stand alone one as I move to the floor loom. I usually use an attachment on my cordless drill to wind bobbins but I think having a manual option is key!

I haven't even gotten into counting the wire heddles on the Dorothy table loom yet but it's great to know that if I need to supplement I can and I'm less concerned about abrasion from the steel heddles on the table loom which will have less tension and shorter warps than the floor loom.

I can't wait to put them to the best use I can!

🤣 Yeah we gotta get the Landlord onto building me out a loom room.

The 4 shaft 15.75" Dorothy table loom needs a cloth beam crank but the reed looks salvageable with a little corrosion removal and otherwise I think it just needs cleaning. I haven't really gotten the best look down inside it yet but the levers do function properly.

Yes I'm so grateful and excited! For years she's been half joking about me inheriting her huuuuge counterbalance loom (which we would never have room for) and she seemed really happy to be able to pass some things along that will get a loving new home and put to good use again. 😊

The warping board was the thing I really needed ASAP and this one was handmade by her Aunt so it's extra special! It does need reglueing of some pegs but that's easy peasy. The bobbin winder just needs a drive band and it's compatible with the Leclerc storage spools which is perfect!

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude! The Leclerc rocking weaving bench is the exact one I was hoping to someday aquire since the long term goal is an 8 shaft 32" Macomber and this is the only commercial bench I've seen that adjusts high enough for a Mac and has the angle adjustment as well.
