If it was just the main objective... Yeah I guess it's kinda like the latest Metroid games. But I don't like that they force further help on you while telling you there's a radio function that's supposed to do that.

Later on, if you hang on for too long they go "Oh it can't be here, maybe explore more over here" (trying to be vague) while I'm just minding my own business backtracking to get some items. It wouldn't infuriate me much if the NPC didn't tell me earlier to explicitely contact him by radio for help.

For me, it's like: they won't make another Metroid Prime in probably a long while and I would like to be lost like in the old ones. And I can't have that because some designers think handholding you the crucial way needs to be something experienced by everyone, and there's no way to disable that.

Wait until later in the game he just tells you where to go unprompted and you can't disable that (somehow you can't disable hints like in the previous Prime games unless they consider this tutorials now.)

He said in an interview for Chapters 3 & 4 that he has checked every line in the translation now that his Japanese has improved significantly.
