Does Trump have a “mandate”? No.

1.62% of the popular vote is hardly a mandate. Young/Gaza voters stayed home. Plus the country is sexist and racist. That’s nothing new. It doesn’t mean we’re all Republicans now.

What was a mandate? Reagan’s landslide victory in 1984. Electoral college map below.

Israeli Settlers plan to move to Gaza en masse. Many are already having meetings about it that are attended by Israeli politicians. Many in Netanyahu’s party treat this “return” as a forgone conclusion.

It’s always been about real estate, fueled by racism.

Meeting the former US Trade Representative Amb Susan Schwab this morning was not on my bingo card.

I asked her what she thought of comments about the world moving on with a diminished US role in global affairs.

She basically said, while we may go through some difficult years, the US will return.
