All this thinking about the thing I've always wanted to know in science wouldn't have been possible without the support of the @erc.europa.eu to my FriendOrigins project. Long may funding for fundamental and blueskies science continue

Bake your paper! Research tech extraordinaire, Macaela Skelton, made a cake of (some of) the study sites in the MacaqueNet database. She ran out of decorations before she could do them all 😆. Link to the paper that's been cake-ified: besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

thanks for a lovely visit to Oxford @robsalgo.bsky.social @rjpheathcote.bsky.social and all the rest of the bio department. Some visit highlights included seeing the field station and having lunch at the longest table I've ever headed :)

Excellent to be out in the field with @irene-godoy.bsky.social and Manuela Cardona! Monkey took our place in front of the Cayo Santiago sign so we made due 😅

Speaking of aging, look what just arrived! My copy of the Phil Trans special issue I got to co-edit, with wily ol' J41, the rhesus macaque, grooming her grandkid on the cover

Annual ExBaSE meeting (Exeter Behavioural and Sensory Ecology) was a great success. Left the river Exe yesterday morning, heard some excellent research talks, and woke up to the lovely views of Falmouth today. Working here is not too shabby I've got to say....
